Janson Announces MIP-TV 2005 Slate

Janson Media today announced its slate of programming for MIPTV 2005 to be held in Cannes April 11th through April 15th. The company is at MIPTV for the 16th consecutive year, exhibiting alongside other U.S. Independents at Stand #R 30.18, in the Riviera Annex of the Palais des Festivals. Our new primetime television documentary specials include BREAKING THE DA VINCI CODE (1 x 60′), which delves into the facts behind the fiction of Dan Brown’s best selling novel; MASTERS OF TEXAS BARBECUE (1 X 60′), a journey to eleven of Texas’ most revered barbecue joints, where famed pitmasters share century old secrets and recipes; FIRST LIGHT: MAUNA KEA (1 X 60′), which explores the competing forces that vie for access to Mauna Kea, a place where culture, science and environment strive to co-exist; GEORGE W. BUSH: FAITH IN THE WHITE HOUSE (1 x 52′), a look at the extraordinary faith and prayer life of President George W. Bush;and THE SEARCH FOR HEAVEN (1 x 52′), an HDTV special exploring some of our most fundamental questions as human beings.
The company is also releasing CALIFORNIA DREAMIN’ — THE SONGS OF THE MAMAS & THE PAPAS (1 x 60′), a new prime-time music special celebrating the songs of one of America’s most revered pop-rock groups of the late 60s and early 70s. New fashion programming includes the new season of the weekly series, FULL FRONTAL FASHION: TOP TEN (39 x 30′), and new episodes in the series, BEHIND THE LABEL (21 x 30′), an insider’s look at the world’s most famous designers and fashion houses.

Janson Media has also added two exciting new cooking series to its catalog — JACQUES PEPIN: FAST FOOD MY WAY (26 x 30′), and WEIR COOKING IN THE CITY (26 x 30′), and its travel inventory has continued to grow with its acquisition of two successful public television series, AMERICA’S HISTORIC TRAILS WITH TOM BODETTE (13 x 30′), and TRAVELS IN MEXICO & THE CARIBBEAN WITH SHARI BELAFONTE (13 x 30′), and a new season, being filmed in HDTV, of its long-running travel series, PASSPORT TO ADVENTURE (39 x 30′ plus 8 x 30′ in production). The company’s HDTV Catalog now includes over 250 hours of content.
