Janson Media today announced the release to worldwide television markets of DANGEROUS WHEN WET (8 x 46′), a new documentary series which goes behind the scenes of the UIM Formula 1 Powerboat Racing Championship Series, as drivers compete for the World Championship. Formula 1 Powerboat racing is among the world’s most dangerous sports. Episodes introduce viewers to an international cast of fearless young men as they race each other in such exotic locales as Portugal, Lake Como, South Korea, China, Malaysia, Singapore, India and Saudi Arabia.
Some of the international cast of characters include former world champion Scott Gillman, an American representing UAE, Laith Pharo, representing Saudi Arabia, Andy Elliott from England, Italian drivers Massimo Roggiero, Francesco Cantando, and eight-time world champion Guido Cappellini, and brothers and rivals Bob Trask and David Trask from Australia. The series culminates in the crowning of the 2004 champion in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. The fast-paced format, scored with rock and roll music, is designed to appeal to the 18-35 demographic, encompassing interviews, the jet-set lifestyle and scenic highlights in each of the cities where races were held.
