Janson Media today announced the release of OCEAN ORIGINS to worldwide television markets. This 40-minute “Giant Screen Film” invites viewers to an extraordinary adventure: four billion years in the ocean, from the very beginning of life to the incredible moment when the first vertebrate emerged onto dry land and opened a path to the conquest of the continents. With fascinating footage applying micro and macro-cinematography techniques, the “stars” of this Giant Screen Film are sea-creatures that are still alive today. OCEAN ORIGINS shows how life forms diversified after the first bacteria appeared. Enhanced by spellbinding music by Bruno Coulais (Microcosmos, Himalaya), this film is a majestic invitation to dive into the heart of the origins of life.
OCEAN ORIGINS was produced by Les Productions Dussart, Les Productions de la Geode and Groupe 47, in association with Canal Plus, Sofica Cofimage 11 and Le Centre National de la Cinematographie. The film was directed by Gerald Calderon, and edited by Florence Richard. Directors of Photography were Julie Parisot, Jack Tankard and Laurent Guenoun. OCEAN ORIGINS is now available exclusively from Janson Media for worldwide television licensing.
