Advanced Level 'Let's Dance Salsa' Comes To DVD

Janson Media today announced the worldwide DVD release of Let's Dance Salsa Advanced and Expert Combinations (1 x 112') with Marlon Silva. The latest title from the Let's Dance Salsa series graduates its students from the intermediate stage to an expert level using a unique & natural approach. Exclusively distributed by Janson Media Advanced and Expert Combinations is also available in a Spanish version.

In Let's Dance Salsa Advanced and Expert Combinations, professional dance instructor Marlon Silva teaches beginners and experts alike with his step-by-step detailed instruction. His technique breaks all Salsa moves and combos down into building blocks, which are then assembled into more complicated moves that can be adapted to any music or club atmosphere. Rather than teaching by counting steps, Marlon"s method has taught thousands of students around the country to dance in less time with greater ease.

After mastering all the steps and moves from the beginner and intermediate lessons, the Let"s Dance Salsa dancer graduates to Marlon"s advanced and expert lessons. With these sophisticated lessons, Marlon teaches competition techniques like the Square Dance and Leader"s Blender. He and Susie Neff offer detailed demonstrations of advanced dipping moves and teach dancers how to reverse previously learned combinations with different hand positions and styles.

WHAT YOU"LL LEARN: â–ºThe Knee - Learn a flashy technique called The Knee. The leader crouches on one knee and leads the follower back and forth. Leaders jump back up, catch the follower"s hand and continue dancing. â–ºDip Essentials - Learn dip essentials for salsa. A move where the leader wraps his arms around his partner"s back to give her confidence and balance. This is the safest way to dip without injury. â–ºDip Variations - Learn some variations to spice up your dips, including Neck Combinations and Tango Dips. â–ºSquare Dance - Learn the Square Dance, a technique used in competitions to measure the dance floor. If you lose the beat, the Square Dance is a good way to get it back. â–ºLeader"s Blender - Mix it up with The Blender technique, a complex spinning maneuver that requires total control in the spins of both followers and leaders. The resulting motion resembles a blender. â–ºFollower"s Blender - Now that the leaders have learned The Blender, the followers need to know their role. Both leaders and followers must exhibit total control in their spins. â–ºReverse - Learn how to reverse any combination, including how to change hand positions that enable the leader to switch from a counterclockwise to a clockwise rotation. Several different combination reversals are illustrated. â–ºCorkscrew - Learn the fancy combination called the corkscrew. The basic corkscrew combination is to keep both hands together while moving in a downward position. This step can be combined with many other dance moves like the mambo, lambada and conga. â–ºTopspin - The Topspin is a combination that requires a strong leader and a follower who can spin with the right technique. Marlon offers a detailed look at the complex handwork! When executed correctly, the motion resembles the spinning of a top and requires tremendous control on the follower"s part. â–ºThe Spool Up - A combination that requires a lot of control on the follower"s side, the Spool Up starts with the leader spinning the follower"s knee, moving up the body to the waist and hands, and then moving back down again. You can spice up the combination by adding The Blender combination or ending with a split. Also included is how to signal the follower to spin and how to change the direction of the spin.
