'Chefs A' Field' Series Scores 3rd James Beard Honor

Janson Media is pleased to announce to that its public television series Chefs A" Field has won the prestigious 2010 James Beard Foundation Award in the category Broadcast Television Show. This is the 3rdJames Beard Award the series has won over its four season run. Considered the &'Oscars&' of the food world, The James Beard Awards cover all aspects of the industry—from chefs and restaurateurs to television programs and food journalists—the Awards are the highest honors for culinary professionals working in America. The Chefs A' Field series returned this past fall with a bumper crop of new episodes themed Green Cuisine, focusing on sustainable agriculture and seafood, shopping with an environmental mindset.

The award-winning television series Chefs A"Field: Kids on the Farm offers a culinary adventure for all ages. Viewers join America"s best chefs — and their kids to venture out to the farms, fishing boats and ranches for a look at where great food comes from. In each half hour episode of this entertaining series, viewers will discover why thoughtful agricultural practices make a difference in how foods taste and hold their nutritional value while learning valuable ideas and tips for cooking with their own families.

Among the series other accolades are the 2008 Parents Choice Award for excellence in family programming, a gold medal in the highly competitive &'Family Programs&' category at the New York Festivals — International Television Broadcasting Awards, and The Film Advisory Board"s Award of Excellence for family programming.
