DVD on Legendary Inventor 'Westinghouse' Comes Highly Recommended

The Janson Media DVD Westinghouse: The Life & Times of An American Icon was recommended in a recent review on the Blogger News Network. Westinghouse is a feature-length documentary about the understated life and times of the great inventor George Westinghouse, his companies, legacy, personality, partnership with Nikola Telsa, and conflict with Thomas Edison. As recognized by the film's review, the viewer can expect an honest depiction of a man that became an honest millionaire and industrial powerhouse during an era of robber barons and skeptics.

This newly released documentary Westinghouse is one of the best and most comprehensive sources of information on George Westinghouse that I have ever seen. Using a combination of archival material and modern commentary we get to learn a great deal about this industrial powerhouse.I can not recommend this DVD enough. Anyone that wants to really understand the social history of the post Civil War period should watch this. It would also be a wonderful tool for anyone who is involved with teaching this period of history. - Simon Barrett
