Janson Brings Arabic Animation Stateside: Marvelous Stories from the Qur'an Debuts on Amazon
Janson Media today announced the debut on Amazon Video, of Marvelous Stories from the Qur'an, an educational animation series from Cedars Art Production of Beirut. The series of 30 half-hour episodes was produced in Arabic and is available with English subtitles on Amazon. It is one of the first Arabic-language educational television series to premiere on any major television network or digital platform in the United States.
The series was produced for Ramadan 2014. Voiceovers are performed by well-known Arabic actors, including Yehya el Fakharany. Scripts were certified by the Azhar Islamic Upper-Chair Committee in Egypt, and are targeted to children six years of age and older.
Judge Safieddine was a wise, thoughtful man, and wise is called the man who has a good heart and a kind soul. When his daughter Salma became the mother of two, Safa and Safaa, he opted to leave her the freedom to raise her children as she saw fit, assuming she would instill the same values and principles he had nurtured in her, but still, he was watching closely...
A few years passed by, and then one day he realized that the children had been spoiled. They seemed arrogant, conceited and undisciplined. He knew then that the time had come. It was the right moment for him to interfere, to tell them the great stories that would fill their souls and open their young hearts.
'Today I will tell you a story, a Marvelous Story from the Qur'an,' the Judge told Salma and his two grandchildren. 'Just as I did with Salma when she was a young girl, every day I will tell you both a new story, a piece of wisdom to instill ethical behavior and good manners.'
Marvelous Stories from the Qur'an was produced by Cedars Art Production of Lebanon, part of the Sabbah Media Group.
