Janson Gets in FOCUS
FOCUS is a new streaming media platform curated by Jesse Janson of Janson Media. Launched during the summer of 2012, FOCUS features the latest news, trailers, funding opportunities and screenings from the world of documentary film and digital media. From festival awards and screenings and documentary and short film reviews to webisodes and industry insider news, FOCUS reports on the best of what's new, now.
Recent posts have included free streams of documentaries ranging from the original Big Lebowski dude to the sad state of genetically modified food supplies. FOCUS has also brought attention to such crowdfunded films as Open Sesame, Money & Life and The Mother Grain.
'What we are seeing as the digital age evolves is a growing range of creative forms for video content, and a growing number of platforms both to share and monetize content. With FOCUS, we are just hoping to bring awareness to some of the more outstanding pieces of content we find, and in the process create an online discussion about them,' said Jesse Janson, the company's Director of Acquisitions and Digital Media.
