Janson Media Announces MIPTV 2012 Release Slate

Janson Media today announced its slate of programming for MIPTV 2012, to be held in Cannes next month, April 1st through 4th. The company is at MIPTV for the 23rd consecutive year, exhibiting at its Stand #R34.03, in the Riviera Hall of the Palais des Festivals. Crossing Borders(1 x 72') is our acclaimed new feature documentary that follows four Moroccan and four American university students as they travel together through Morocco and, in the process of discovering 'The Other,&' discover themselves. Although filmed in an MTV 'Real World'-style, the documentary looks at serious real-world issues.

The Wereth Eleven (1 x 60') is a riveting new docudrama narrated by Corey Reynolds (The Closer) that recounts the heroic battle waged by the African-American 333rd Field Artillery Battalion against the massed attacking German army at the start of the Battle of the Bulge and the dramatic escape made by 11 soldiers were captured and massacred at Wereth, Belgium by Hitler"s most ruthless soldiers, the SS.

USS Franklin: Honor Restored (1 x 71' and 1 x 60') is a documentary which tells the complete story of 'The Ship That Wouldn't Die,' the aircraft carrier that survived a direct hit by a Japanese armor-piecing bomb off the coast of Japan in March 1945. In an instant the crew's lives were changed forever and the events that followed would make the story of 'Big Ben' one of the most dramatic and inspiring in naval history. The film is narrated by actor Dale Dye (Saving Private Ryan).

Betsy's Kindergarten Adventures (24 x 30') This animation series, told from the perspective of 5-year old Betsy, is designed to ease a child's transition from the home to school by generating interest and excitement about the kindergarten experience. Essential Pepin(26 x 30') is the newest cooking series from the legendary French-American chef Jacques Pepin. It includes everything that is essential to Jacques — his love of food and cooking, his teaching and mentoring, and his family and friends. Broadcast nationwide on PBS.

Aligned and Well (14 x 30') is a new health and wellness exercise series created by bio-mechanist, Katy Bowman, which introduces the Biomechanical Model of Preventative Medicine. Based on physics, physiology, anatomy, and engineering, the method explains how many common, expensive ailments are a result of poor motor skills and can be corrected through diligent practice of simple movements.

Hong Kong, Macau and Guangdong: Quest for Harmonyand The Matterhorn: Quest for the Water Castle are the 10th and 11th titles in the spectacular Richard Bangs" Adventures with Purpose (11 x 60&'²) series of literate high-definition travel documentaries.

Wild Photo Adventures (13 x 30") Tag along with host and professional photographer Doug Gardner to great locations to photograph wildlife, its behavior and its environment. The first wildlife and nature photography television show of its kind, viewers can expect useful tips on where to go, how to find wild subjects and how to photograph them in new and creative ways.

Spirit Lands: An American Desert Odyssey (1 x 52&'²) is a visual and musical journey to some of the most spectacular, beautiful and awe-inspiring natural wonders of the American desert. Emmy Award-winning Fortney, whose filmography also includes Timeless: A National Parks Odyssey (1 x 52&'²), is highly regarded for his breathtaking achievements in cinematography, and his talent for creating films that are an exquisite marriage of film and music.

Travel With Kids (49 x 30&'²) The Roberts family is back on the road... this time traveling to Peru, Italy, Greece and Mexico in Season 4.
