Janson Media Announces Release Slate for MIPTV 2010

Janson Media today announced its slate of programming for MIPTV 2010 to be held in Cannes next month, April 12th through 16th. The company is at MIPTV for the 21st consecutive year, exhibiting as always at Stand #R30.18, in the Riviera Hall of the Palais des Festivals. Company executives in attendance will be Stephen Janson, Zara Janson, and Tracey Doran. While in Cannes, company executives may be reached at the Grand Hotel.

A number of blue chip feature-length history documentaries join the Janson Media catalog, many as a result of its acquisition in December of the Inecom Entertainment film library. Titles include the following:

Additional new family programming includes the heart-warming documentary, My Pen Pal: An African Adventure (1 x 37') and the popular PBS 'horse-whisperer' series, Saddle Up with Dennis Brouse (26 x 30"), andThe Gypsy Vanner Horse
(1 x 43"), a special which tells the story of the legendary Gypsy Vanner horse, from its origin in the British Isles to its introduction in America. Returning from MIPCOM is the 90-minute docudrama, Jesus Diaries: Every Day Life in the Time of Messiah.

Two new arts and crafts series from U.S. public television, Knitting Daily TV (52 x 30") andQuilting Arts TV (65 x 30'), join a large list of popular 'How-To' programming from the company, which includes new seasons of Hands on Crafts for Kids, the jewelry-making series Beads, Baubles and Jewels, a series for scrapbooking enthusiasts, Scrapbook Memories and the baking and cake-decorating series, Bake Decorate Celebrate!.

Janson's current affairs catalog expands with the addition of Pawns of Paradise (1 x 54"), a documentary produced by investigative journalist Zoltan Istvan, who travels throughout the war-torn state of Kashmir, andIndependent Intervention: Breaking Silence(1 x 52') a look at the way the Iraq War was presented as entertainment by the media. The 2009 season of the long-running PBS series Great Decisions 2009(8 x 30') is also available.
