Janson Releases Classic Movie Star Series, Hollywood Idols

Janson Media today announced the release of the new half-hour television series, Hollywood Idols. These riveting portraits of classic movie stars of Hollywood will delight movie fans of all ages. The series is set to air nationally on public television stations across the United States, beginning in October 2015, via American Public Television.

Season One episodes feature portraits of Grace Kelly, Cary Grant, Audrey Hepburn, Clint Eastwood, Gregory Peck, Michael Caine, Shirley Temple, Robert Mitchum, Yul Brynner, Shirley MacLaine, Ingrid Bergman, Jack Lemmon, Burt Lancaster and Gary Cooper.

This half-hour series has been repackaged from The Hollywood Collection, the award-winning collection of cinema retrospectives and biographies of classic movie stars of the Golden Age of Hollywood. The original films have been converted to High-Definition, the content has been tightened, the graphics refreshed, and the series has a consistent narrator in Jane Simms-Roche. Janson Media partnered with Centre Communications of Boulder, Colorado, to produce the new series. All of the original Hollywood Collection films were authorized by the stars themselves or their children and spouses.
