MIPCOM 2009 Post Show Wrap Up
Janson Media recently returned from Cannes, following an inspirational and exciting MIPCOM 2009 content market. For the 20th consecutive year, Janson Media successfully introduced a diverse slate of programming in the HDTV Travel, History, Current Affairs, Finance, Cooking and Sport genres. A key to the company's longevity has been its ability to grow alongside the trends of the international multiplatform content industry, those of which were widely discussed this year.
The numbers report that 4,027 buyers, and a total of 12,018 delegates from 102 countries were in attendance at a busy MIPCOM 2009. Most of them shared the same necessary position as deals, discussions and partnerships pointed to a re-thinking in approaches to all aspects of business and a platform-agnostic future. Highlighted topics included acknowledging the multiplatform reality, making channels stand out, the rise in regional sub-licensing, strategic alliances and much more.
