Needle Arts Go Next Level on 'Quilting Arts TV' Series

Janson Media today announced the release of the public television how-to series Quilting Arts TV (65 x 30') (now in its fifth season) to international Television, VOD, New Media, and Non-Theatric markets. Produced by KS, Inc. Productions, Quilting Arts TV is back for another season of exploring art and design concepts for contemporary quilting with host Pokey Bolton.

Quilting Arts celebrates the new look for quilting where art and embellishment meet traditional quilt techniques. Host Patricia (Pokey) Bolton the editor in chief of Quilting Arts magazine, and her guests teach you a broad array of tricks and techniques for contemporary quilting. Pokey was introduced to embellished quilting and the related needle arts in 1998, and ever since she took her first stitch (a fly) and embroidered her first motif (a spider), she has been entangled in this hobby and doesn"t envision herself free. Art quilting and mixed-media have, quite literally, taken over her life-so much so that she left her doctoral program and full-time teaching job to found Quilting Arts Magazine®, and later with her husband John, Cloth Paper Scissors® magazine.

Each season of Quilting Arts TV teaches viewers exciting new quilting art designs, techniques and tricks. Project episodes include Pictorial Quilts, Flower Power, Graphic Elements, Digital Designs, Inks and Dyes, Transforming the Surface and more. There is something for every art quilter and mixed-media artist, beginning through advanced levels.
