Sterling Noren Wins HDFEST Best Director "Deffie" for "Silk Road Adventures"

Janson Media announced today that the four-part documentary series, GlobeRiders Silk Road Adventures: Motorcycle Journey, won a Historic Digital Cinema Festival 'Deffie'Award for best director in an HD documentary. Director and producer, Sterling Noren, has traveled to more than 40 countries around the world -- shooting, editing and producing independent documentaries and other non-fiction programming. Noren has been called &'the Swiss Army knife of video production&' because of his skills in digital video production. His company, Worldwide HD Productions, is based in Seattle. The GlobeRiders Silk Road Adventure (4 x 60') follows a group of motorcyclists who ride from Istanbul, Turkey to Xian, China along the ancient Silk Road. The 53-day journey took them 8,000 miles through eight different countries. Along the way the GlobeRiders struggled against dangerous riding conditions, mechanical breakdowns, accidents and political troubles and experienced a part of the world seldom seen by Western travelers.HDFEST is the world's only high-definition film festival. Their event innovations and the amazing array of HD films screened at the festival have been covered in a wide variety of publications including most recently 'Wired,' 'The Wall Street Journal,' 'The Miami Herald,' and 'The New York Times.'
