The 'Tracks Ahead' Express Travels the Outback in New DVD

Janson Media announced today the worldwide release of the DVD Tracks Ahead: The Ghan Train, Australia/ Strong Garden Layout/ Kentucky Railway Museum, Kentucky/ St. Louis Car Company(1 x 30'). A production of Milwaukee Public Television, The Ghan Train... is a DVD adapted from the magazine style series for train lovers of all ages and experiences, Tracks Ahead.

In this Tracks Ahead DVD, viewers will experience the Outback, travel from Alice Springs to Adelaide, as Tracks Ahead rides The Ghan through the rugged land of central Australia. Visit with the man whose company built many of the American streetcars, visit the Kentucky Railroad Museum to see a combination of steam and one of the last operating BL-2 diesel locomotives. And we"ll visit with a couple whose passion is garden railroading.

This magazine-style series has a unique appeal for train lovers of all ages, for railroading novices as well as experts, as it explores every aspect of the railroads of the world. Now broadcast on more than 200 PBS stations across America, host Spencer Christian (formerly of ABC"s Good Morning America) presents the best of steam locomotives, railroad stories, model trains and art. &'We"re striving for more depth in each episode,&' said David Baule, executive producer and director of the series. &'The stories will intrigue a variety of viewers, while walking a middle line between technical and general information.
