High Plains Films Award-Winning Collection Now Available Worldwide

Janson Media today announced an agreement with High Plains Films for the worldwide distribution of the indie producer"s catalog of award-winning feature-length documentaries. Janson will introduce an initial collection of five documentaries at MIPCOM 2005 in October, in Cannes. High Plains Films is a non-profit documentary production company based in Missoula, Montana. The company, founded by Doug Hawes-Davis and Drury Gunn Carr, creates documentaries that accurately portray the fascinating and complex relationship between culture and the environment, striving to create films that tie together the human experience and the natural world. High Plains Films documentaries have received more than 35 awards. Noteworthy screenings include the Smithsonian"s National Museum of Natural History, USA Film Festival, IFP New York Market, Vermont International Film Festival, West Virginia International Film Festival, Great Plains Film Festival, Savannah Film Festival, Northwest Film & Video Festival and the International Wildlife Film Festival.
