INTERNSHIPS
Janson Media has a number of on-site internship positions available to students enrolled in an accredited college or university. Internships are paid; student interns also receive college credit. Internships generally last for one semester (Spring or Fall) or for a winter or summer intersession. All work is performed under the oversight of a Janson Media executive. Internships include review meetings and reports as required by the partnering college or university.
DIGITAL VIDEO INTERNSHIPS
As part of its global digital aggregation and film and television distribution businesses, Janson's digital media department edits video files of film and video content, and disseminates them to its global network of digital platforms, broadcast and media clients, and via the company’s multiple websites, youtube channels, and social media platforms.
- Organizing and accessing our video file archive
- Video Editing using Adobe Premiere
- Exporting, converting and compressing video files
The candidate should be very comfortable working with Apple Macintosh computers and Adobe Premiere editing software. A good understanding of web-based video platforms (eg. Youtube, Vimeo) and Adobe Photoshop is also important. The intern should be passionate about television, film, media.
The intern will become more proficient with Adobe Premiere editing as a result of hands-on work in a real world environment.
The position my also be involved in the day-to-day operations of running our channels on Youtube. The intern will learn how to optimize engagement and views on our various channels, YouTube best practices, content delivery, audience growth, community management.
WEB & SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING INTERNSHIPS
Janson Media conducts ongoing promotion and marketing campaigns on behalf of our content. The campaigns are targeted to consumers and to the company’s global network of broadcast and media clients. The campaigns utilize the company’s multiple websites, Youtube channels, and social media platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and write engaging social media posts
- Research trending content related to the television and film industry to share via social networks and publish to Janson Media's social media platforms
- Interact with users interested in Janson Media content via Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, etc.
- Weekly review of our social media analytics
The intern should possess excellent writing and time management skills, and be proficient working in MacOS. A solid understanding of key social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Reddit, etc.) is important. The intern should be passionate about television, film and online media.
The intern will become more proficient with the power and complexities of social media marketing, as a result of hands-on work in the real world.
