Janson Announces Multiple Deals for Giant Screen Films

Janson Media today announced that its award-winning Giant Screen Films Collection has been licensed by several broadcasters around the world in recent months. Licensed territories include Mexico (TV Azteca), Canada (Oasis TV and Outdoor Life Network) and Bulgaria (TV Sedem), as well as Greece and South Korea. The company's Giant Screen Films Collection features 14 Giant Screen Films originally produced for theatrical release in IMAX theaters around the world. In most cases, the producers of these Large Format Films maintained their exclusivity in the IMAX theatrical marketplace for many years after their initial release, and generally they are now available for television worldwide for the very first time. 'These films offer terrific production values, with budgets north of six million dollars each, and have all been recently converted to HDTV, at significant expense,' said Stephen Janson of Janson Media. 'In many ways, these Giant Screen Films also represent the last refuge of the family movie. Aside from the occasional Disney or Pixar animated film, the very concept of parents watching movies together with their children is quickly fading away from our culture.' Janson Media distributes its Giant Screen Films Collection exclusively to international television, VOD and new media markets. Its distribution partner, K2 Communications, handles domestic licensing.
