Stornoway Communications of Canada Acquires Janson Content

Janson Media announced today that it has licensed its series Global Focus (5 x 30') and Water's Journey (4 x 60') to Toronto-based television broadcaster, Stornoway Communications for its public and social affairs issues channel, ichannel. The environmentally conscious programs are set to air in September 2009. Water"s Journey is a four-hour eco-adventure series that reveals the nature, and mechanics of our most important water resources: groundwater, rivers, lakes, springs, wetlands, estuaries, and ocean environments. The entire series follows a team of scientists and adventurers as they explore their way through entire water systems and investigate mankind"s relationship with these systems, often courting danger along the way. Hosted and narrated by Robert Redford, Global Focus features intimate portraits of passionate and dedicated activists from around the world who have placed themselves in harm"s way to battle authoritative governments and powerful corporations to safeguard the Earth"s natural resources from exploitation and pollution. Based out of Canada, ichannel is the public and social affairs channel of Stornoway Communications. ichannel broadcasts documentaries, discussion sessions and feature films presented in a way to help viewers get the whole story.
