The Mountain II, Turkish Modern-Day Military Drama Set for Release

Janson Media today announced an agreement with Turkish production company Caglararts, to license U.S. rights to the company's blockbuster theatrical feature, The Mountain II.

Released in 2016, the film is set in a desolate war zone where screams of the innocent echo, on the very line between disaster and valor, and seven Maroon Berets, the elite special operations unit of the Turkish Armed Forces, will dance with death. Their mission -- to rescue Ceyda Balaban, a controversial Turkish journalist who is the prisoner of the barbaric terrorist organization ISIS.

The Mountain II (originally called Dag II) was written and directed by Alper Caglar and stars well-known Turkish actors Caglar Ertugrul, Ufuk Bayraktar, and Bedii Akin. The film has received over 94,000 ratings on IMDb.com, and an average rating of 9.6 out of 10 stars.

Janson Media has released the film on Amazon Prime Video in the United States to strong initial reviews. The release of The Mountain II is part of Janson Media's initiative to bring quality international movies, drama series and animation content to American digital viewers.
