"Impossible Spy" Marks 40th Anniversary of Six-Day War

Janson Media today marks the 40th Anniversary of the Six-Day War with its Collector's Edition DVD of The Impossible Spy. The Six-Day War between Israel and four Arab nations began on June 5th, 1967. Harvey Chertok, the executive producer of The Impossible Spy, is touring with the film to provide commentary and lead panel discussions in conjunction with the 40th anniversary. The film was produced in 1987 for the BBC and HBO, and stars John Shea and Eli Wallach. It tells the amazing story of the Mossad double-agent Elie Cohen, Israel"s national hero, whose amazing mission to Syria in the 1960s played a vital role in the outcome of the 1967 war. Cohen was publicly hung in Damascus, and to this day the Syrian government has refused to return his remains to Israel. Mr. Chertok is involved in the ongoing effort to convince Syria to return Cohen's body to Israel for a proper burial, and he has recently written to Secretary of State Condolezza Rice and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to enlist the U.S. government's help in the matter.
