Janson Media Marks 40th Anniversary of Death of Padre Pio
Janson Media today marks the 4oth anniversary of the passing of the Catholic saint known as Padre Pio, the Italian Capuchin priest who is now venerated as a saint in the Roman Catholic Church. He was given the name Pio when he joined the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin, and was popularly known as Padre Pio after his ordination to the priesthood. He became famous for his stigmata. Canonized as Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, he left this world on September 23rd, 1968.
